Manny & Kat first met through a chance encounter on Breakwater Beach in Mattituck on July 5th, 2015 — Manny’s generous offer of an undisclosed beverage unknowingly changed every subsequent summer to follow. After a month of Ralph's Ice Cream dates, they made it official before Manny left for Boston College. That fall, Manny left for his freshman year at Boston College and Katherine started her senior year of high school.

Despite the long distance between them, their love flourished. Over Manny’s four years at BC, Kat visited for football tailgates, food tours at Faneuil Hall and themed parties at the Mods. Manny came home frequently and they never missed an event night at Republic or a Kyma brunch. They dated long distance through undergrad, pharmacy school, and medical school, totaling a combined record of 4 graduations and 2 white coat ceremonies together.

In 2024, after 9 years together, Manny returned to New York. Before he began residency, he proposed in Central Park with an elaborate cover up from Kat’s parents, successfully surprising his fiancée. Katherine and Manny are excited to get married in November 2025 in the city they always call home.
